Dedications:
First and foremost, I want to dedicate this novel to my parents, Thomas (Tommy) and Lois, and my older sister, Kelley. They have always encouraged me not to let my Cerebral Palsy stop me from reaching my dreams, no matter what the naysayers said. They believed in my ability to learn from an early age. My mom and dad fought for me so I could be mainstreamed into regular classes, and after graduating from Brenham High School, I attended and graduated both from Blinn Junior College and Texas A&M University.
For my large extended family and my many friends, neighbors, pastors, church family, principals, teachers, physical therapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists, who also supported me and cheered me on even at the lowest point in my life.
Special dedications to my two grandmas, Lydia and Olga (Okie), my aunt Gloria, my uncle Kenny, my aide and another mother figure, Cherie Boling, and my best friend, Ryan Moore. They’re in Heaven now, but I miss them every day. They will forever be in my heart. They were some of my biggest cheerleaders. I was blessed to have them in my life.
